Greatest World Series ever?? Probably. Going into yesterday, who would have thought, the World Series that produced two of the best baseball games in the history of the sport would have gone 7 games? Probably everybody. Not my stupid self though. “Verlander is on the mound, the Astros are definitely going to close this series out.” I said to myself yesterday even knowing I predicted here on this website Dodgers in 6.
But here we are, Wednesday morning and we have a Game 7 baby. Verlander was good not great and the Astros just couldn’t get there bats rolling. The Dodgers bullpen was incredible pitching 4.1 innings of 2 hit 0 run baseball. Joc Pederson, a Team Israel veteran playing with Hashem on his side, smacked a solo Yabo in the 7th inning to give the Dodgers the 3-1 lead that would prove to be the final score.
This is why sports is one of the greatest aspects of life. All sports talk radio and writers had been talking about going into Game 6 was how the MLB doctored and juiced the balls going in to this season. “These teams SHOULD be scoring 7 and 8 runs a game.” Well, with all the marbles on the line, the Astros could only score 1 run as the Dodgers forced Game 7 by only scoring 3.
Tonight, in Los Angeles we get the Game 7 we all hoped for. I said going into this series Dodgers in 6, I am going to stand as close as possible to that prediction and say the Dodgers win a close one tonight. As of this writing, Yu Darvish is the starter for the Dodgers going up against McCullers. Darvish will bounce back and we will get to see Kershaw out of the bullpen. Get your popcorn ready folks.
